I experienced a huge increase in spam on my email account that was associated with DirectTV after installing this file. I am not sure it is associated with that effort, but I can do without it.

removed from my XP professional Dell system and severe delay problems and over processing performance went away. This file was stuck in the top 5 of memory users in my normal processing files, starting from a DIRECTV program inquiry last week.

This ended up on my PC after installing a program called "Cox Connect." It allows customers with both Cox cable TV and high-speed internet to watch television on whatever device it's installed on. I imagine it was created by the same group who created the DTV program which does the same thing. I have since uninstalled it and my PC seems to run a bit faster now.

Is it necessary to have this in my Startup file? I'm not experiencing any problems with the program itself, just wondering if it needs to be in the startup process.
Good information on this site...Thanks!

Hi, I am having problems with this file, I have directv and I am unable to stream on my laptop, when the directv player installs I get this error
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library error
Runtime Error!
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an
unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information

this message with also appear on start up, the only way to get rid of this is to uninstall the directv player, I have spent many hours on the phone with directv and they have not been able to help me, I need this player inorder to view directv
I hope there is a solution to this, I am running windows 10, an upgrade from windows 8.1
