I installed Avast anti-vir and it discovered a virus in poshx.exe name "win32:Evo-gen[Susp]. I had Avast remove this file. I cannot find anything about poshx on the net. i do not know what it is. i do not know if these files were already on my pc when i installed and configured my pc.

@william: I've seen at least 2 other users commenting here on freefixer.com about Avast detecting files as "win32:Evo-gen[Susp]". It may be a false positive.

Please upload the file to virustotal.com to see what the other anti-virus scanners says about the file. Did they find anything?
