Psanhost.exe is part of Panda Cloud Antivirus, and if you have it, someone (you, most likely) installed this excellent and free antivirus software. Keep it. You may actually need it. that said, you may notice this app eating a lot of cpu CYCLES at times, especially when you are downloading things. Don't worry - it's doing its job

Have just installed AVG Anti-Virus FREE 2013.
Did a 'whole c
omputer scan' and unfortunately it 'healed/removed' PSANHost.exe
As an added protection I also use 'Panda Anti-Virus free' and after checking I found that PSANHost.exe belongs to Panda Security ( PSANHost.exe can be found under Programs / Panda Cloud Antivirus /, scroll down the page and there is PSANHost.exe ).
On AVG I added the PSANHost.exe to 'Exceptions' and un-ticked the box 'Heal/remove virus exceptions without asking me' - now I can see exactly what the anti-virus program wants to remove.
