I HAVE A BROWSER VIRUS THAT STARTS A STRING OF ADVERTISEMENTS EVERY TIME I CLICK TO VIEW WEB SITE ONLIVE. STRANGELY ENOUGH, NOT WHEN I LOG INTO AMAZON, OR THE SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS, SUCH AS FACEBOOK AND YOUTUBE, THIS MIGHT HAVE SOMETHING TO DO LOGIN PROCEDURES. ANYWAY, A LOT OF THESE POPUP ADVERTISEMENTS HAVE THE WORD COUPON AS A LOGO. I HAVE LOOKED IN MY PROGRAM FILE FOLDER IN THE C DRIVE OF MY COMPUTER AND SEE SEVERAL FILE FOLDERS WITH THE COUPON IN THE NAME, SUCH AS COoolSaleCouupon and CoolSaleCoupoiN again KingCuouupOuNa again LucKyCCoupon again WoWCoUPOn. My question is am I right to assume these file folders can be deleted, safe in the assumption the'Coupon' worded folders should not be on my computer at all? Another question is if these advertising coupon files are a virus, then why have antivirus programs I am using, along with other antivirus programs I have used not spotted them as harmful?
