My AVG Internet Security detected it and gave me an Application communication request with two alternatives, (1) Allow the application or (2) Block the application. If there is no need to access the Internet I will instruct to Block. Thank you.

@betty: It sounds like your installation of Skype crashed. If you are using skype, please check if there's an updated available or talk to Skype's support. If you are not using Skype you can uninstall it. That should stop the "skypehost.exe application error" message from popping up.
