Guidance, please. On my Acer #5536G laptop, I installed my Fuji ScanSnap S1300's software from their supplied disc. I later uninstalled, preferring to use the scanner with my Mac Book instead. However, much later, when experimenting with WinPatrol (www.winpatrol.com) monitoring software, I discovered what appears to be the dregs of the ScanSnap's Windows software, but did not remove it, as a google search said it was an essential part of Win 7 OS? Really, a ScanSnap program??
