I'm reading all new comments so don't hesitate to post a question about the file. If I don't have the answer perhaps another user can help you.
the program described here (adbcnsl.exe) have a lot in common to a file infesting my computer at the moment. it's called "stdrt.exe". It's old, I found out. but this new file on this site seems newer, BUT stdrt claims to be "Windows Media Center Diagnostic Application" too. so I wonder if it's the same developer. The MD5 checksum doesn't match but the file is the exact same file version; version 5.2 ! a coincident.. doubtfully.
Share your thoughts about this file and check for "stdrt.exe" in "C:\Windows\TEMP\mrtX.tmp\" where X is a counting HEX decimal number. The reason it's ascending is because it's supposingly being re-downloaded at every windows boot, placing it self in a new folder named "mrt" plus a new number and then ".tmp". But it's still at folder! I've got 10 folder's now. The reason I haven't deleted it yet is because I'm investigating it and.. eheh... it keeps comming, BUT again.. with the info on this site I may have come to a solution because I got the "adbcnsl.exe" program in "C:\Windows\system32\" too and if I get rid of that it maybe JUST MAYBE stop the other from spawning over and over again.
Cheers! =) good luck fighting Roger Karlsson!
