I have google chrome putting any downloads into a specific folder in my base downloads folder. This file is in there but it is not in c:\Windows\Temp. I am not sure if by deleting this I will be messing anything up but at the same time Windows wouldn't be looking for it if it's in the downloads folder so I am utterly confused as to why it's there.

@Reece: This file amifldrv64.sys is also located in my Downloads folder. I was baffled by it, and when I did a google search for the drive, this freefixer.com page appeared. I'm glad I am not the only one experiencing this weird problem. You mentioned you were using google Chrome. I use google Chrome, but also Microsoft Edge and Firefox. I have no idea what caused the file to appear in my Downloads folder but just thought I would mention it. I put it into its own folder called "unknown" inside of my Downloads folder, it doesn't appear to harm anything and I didn't really need to delete it.

Woops... when I said:
"when I did a google search for the drive"
I meant:
"when I did a google search for the file [meaning the file named amifldrv64.sys]"
Sorry.
