This is obviously part of the ASUS "AI Suite II" software that came with their later model mobo's when the new EZ-BIOS was added. It simply facilitates some of the auto-tuning and/or smart doctor program features.

It is a legitimate process.

Good rule of thumb, should you still suspect something awry is simply to check to see how much memory this process is using. If it seems like too much, then it may be infected. In that case you would have to clean the infection and re-install a clean copy of the software.
