Assistant installer is a stealth installation. To monitor stealth installations, I use Ashampoo Uninstaller 10. It monitors all software installations automatically. It activated and alerted me that a program was self installing. I googled assistant-installer.exe and discovered it was from Opera, I decided to keep it.
