The issue Thomas from cliqz.com seems to miss is that when the Add-On is removed it also removes the functionality of Firefox to remember pages visited, making the user of his extension dependent on keeping it installed. This is not good practice.

@Thomas,

a shit. **** like you are the bane of our profession.

It happened to install itself here, didn't it. Hijacks the downloader on the german IT journal "CHIP.de" and latches onto your firefox. I can agree with @Just me, it shot all my browser configuration upon deinstalling, by the way, it can be safely deinstalled. It seems like it, so far.

I have thoroughly checked user reviews on the featured mozilla page. There are about 75% pseudo-highly-qualified user reviews that praise this tool over heaven and about 25% pissed off one star reviews stating how it installed itself without questioning - this is alarming! Clearly, these reviews stating how "super mega awesomelicious" this useless piece of software is, are sponsored and unauthentic.

I consider this spyware of most unapologetic nature.

@Roger Karlsson i urge you to inform yourself about user experiences with this - which are absolutely negative, with almost no exception whatsoever.
Add this to your blacklist on your freefixer program asap.
---------------------------------------------------------

Always stay sceptical towards software you do not know, whose programmers' intentions and motives you cannot see. It states to do "no personal data grabbing" (as said on their mozilla page) but after some research, i highly ****** doubt this.

Here are some examples of one of these pissed of user reviews (which is in german, since this spyware hijacks a very popular download mirror in germany, you might translate them anywhere):

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Braucht kein Mensch!
