The fact that I cannot remove/uninstall it makes me suspicious that it is malware

Appears to be part of the settings application for AMD Radeon graphics cards.

Just realized today that I have cnext. Properties says it is part of AMD. What does it do? I've checked out all the different ways to get rid of it but unable to find it anywhere except as a shortcut in Windows Programs. So - if I can't remove it and it isn't used why did it download and how did it download? Thank you

@Dixie: I think cnext.exe is part of the software that allows you to change settings for your Radeon graphics card. Do you have a Radeon graphics card in your computer?

If you are concerned that the cnext.exe file on your machine is not legitimate software from AMD, please upload it to VirusTotal.com to see what the anti-virus scanners say about it.

Please let us know what you find out.
