Yet another unnecessary background process -- an Intel specialty. Useful for people who are too lazy to open a Control Panel applet; otherwise, they slow down your system just enough to be annoying. If you need to change your display settings, use Intel's Control Panel applet. And if you change your display settings so often that you need to leave these processes running 24/7, you need real help that Intel's toys can't give you.
