jhi_service.exe is not whitelisted in the freefixer scan results, although the file appears normal based on the information that appears here. What I do not know is if the file is necessary. It would be nice if these kinds of pages had a brief explanation of the executable's primary function, although I am not sure how realistic that is if you need to do it for every program in the world. Still, maybe just Microsoft and Intel? This file is an intel service, so I suspect it is necessary, but in this day and age you just can't tell. Nvidia had a service recently that ran non-stop and sucked up all of my internet bandwidth, and when I looked it up I discovered that the service wasn't needed (I cannot remember which one it was). So I uninstalled it, and everything still works fine. If this Intel service is something similar, I would just as soon get rid of it.

@hankdennemann: Thank you for the feedback! You are correct, the jhi_service.exe file should be listed in green by FreeFixer since the file is digitally signed by Intel.

I'll get that into FreeFixer v1.19.

Unfortunately, I don't know what function the jhi_service.exe file provides.
