Here's some information from Kwinzy Search Terms and Conditions:

"You are being offered a software application called "Kwinzy Desktop Search." The End User License Agreement and the Privacy Policy below contain a lot of important information about that application. Here is a brief summary of some of the most important things you probably want to know before you install a version of our software. However, it is important that you read the entire Terms & Conditions. Kwinzy Desktop Search turns your browser address bar (the place where you generally type in web site addresses) into an Internet search box. Installation of Kwinzy Desktop overrides most pre-existing, error resolution applications (like Google Desktop or Yahoo Toolbar), so that when you input search terms or un-resolvable web site addresses, or keywords, you will be provided with responsive, sponsored and un-sponsored Internet search results via the Kwinzy Search service or you may be directly navigated to a brand owner's site via one of our third party partners.
Kwinzy Domains does not collect any personally identifiable information from you. Please see the Privacy Policy below for further information.
* You can uninstall all of the components of Kwinzy Search Desktop at any time by using the standard Add/Remove Programs function provided in the Windows operating system.
* Kwinzy Search Desktop runs in the background of your computer so that it can always provide you with the functions listed above, but it will not impact the performance of your computer.
* Updates to Kwinzy Search Desktop may be delivered to you automatically, meaning that you would not need to download or re-install the Kwinzy application, nor make any other changes on your end. Kwinzy Domains may only modify, update or enhance the existing Kwinzy Domains product, and will not add or install any other Software on your computer. We will not make material changes to the privacy practices of Kwinzy Search Desktop without obtaining your consent.
* If you are not at least 18 years old, or you are not the administrator of the computer you are using, you are prohibited from installing Kwinzy Search Desktop.
* If you have any questions about Kwinzy Search Desktop, you may contact our Customer Support department at Kwinzy.help@Kwinzy.com."

@Geanette: It should be possible to remove Kwinzy from Add/Remove programs in the Windows Control Panel. If that does not work you can use FreeFixer to delete it. Hope this helps.

Kwinzy 1.0 has entered my computer as an extension or ad-on of mozilla firefox and there is no way to remove,so far I tried several programs, even looking into the mozilla Firefox program itself and is not displayed, therefore, no way to remove.Freefixer does not detect it.

@Robert Armas: I was not aware of Kwinzy adding itself to Mozilla. Thank you for letting me know.

Currently, FreeFixer does not scan any Mozilla Firefox settings or extensions. I'm about to release FreeFixer v0.41 in a few days. I might be able to get some Mozilla scanning into version 0.42.

Kwinzy has also been using the following filenames:

kwinzy115.exe, kwinzy116.exe, kwinzy115.exe, kwinzy117.exe, kwinzy121.exe, kwinzy123.exe and kwinzy125.exe.

I guess it will continue to increase the version number in the file name. Maybe kwinzy126.exe, kwinzy127.exe, kwinzy128.exe, kwinzy129.exe, kwinzy130.exe, kwinzy131.exe, kwinzy132.exe, kwinzy133.exe, kwinzy134.exe, kwinzy135.exe, kwinzy136.exe, kwinzy137.exe, etc will appear in the future.

@hadrien: There should be an entry for Kwinzy under Add/Remove Programs dialog. Did that successfully uninstall the program?

How do you get rid of KWANZY? The uninstall on Add/Remove programs doesn't show it. Norton does not recognize it.

KWANZY seems to be blocking the ability of the computer to connect to the internet even though the internet is available and all settings are correct. KWANZY also seems to be, though I'm not positive, directing any program you run to access the internet. Of course, since the internet is blocked, the program gets hung up and won't run.

@Sue: Found this email address on the Kwanzy web site: KwanZy.help@KwanZy.com. They should be able to help you with the removal. Please let us know what they suggested to fix your problem.

If that did not work, you can try FreeFixer and manually select the Kwanzy files and settings for removal.
