I did a hex dump of a virus program -the one that locks you out,has a big screen that demands you send them money because you have visited "certain" web sites---filename is "video.hd_32605.zip". Apparently "MAD Home Cinema Cntrl" is used to compile this thing. It is a self extracting ZIP and run file.Zipped it is 138k,Un-zipped it is 240k with same name but an "exe" file.I searched all over the HD,to eliminate its contents, but could not find how or where it takes control or resides.I am not a big decompiler expert or IT tech, just giving a heads up.

It is an upscale video renderer, or part of one MadVR which is constantly updated/upgraded. it works with most all video players and works best with those with higher power , higher end graphics cards though it can be adjusted to work with most systems-just performs at its best in the higher end systems. It will upscale the video or movie to get the best picture quality your system can deliver to your monitor or tv, 4k too.
if it fails just remove it and reinstall it, and possibly reconfigure it. It tends to appeal to the geeks and those who enjoy tweaking the players to extract the maximum performance of the player which is sometimes in conflict with getting the maximum performance from the computer though there are a dozen or more things to tweak down to trade quality for performance as well. a very well thought out tool
