This file is from a program called "family keylogger" from a site called Spy Arsenal. If it is on your computer, but you didn't download it, then think if someone else who uses your computer might have installed it for different reasons. First it can be used so someone can read every keystroke - so they can read your messages, passwords, etc. I used it years ago to monitor my children's internet use but quickly found it irreplaceable as a way to retrieve many lost messages, etc that I was writing when for many reasons the whole thing got deleted by mistake or the computer froze, or sometimes I simply lost what I was writing. Of course a person could use it to do bad things - but it is called family keylogger because some people do just use it for their family needs - adults have major responsibility to monitor their children's internet use!! Plus when they are grown you will be glad to use it for the other reasons I mentioned - oh and for when u can't remember that password you created yesterday - well, just check the log of the keylogger - easy peasy. Guess what - I just had to use it now as somehow I did something and the last few sentences were deleted - so I just copied it from FKL and pasted it back in here! For real haha - I did literally have to do what I was just writing about! haha It happens a lot lately since I have my touch-pad and my mouse set to work at the same time so I can help my granddaughter do stuff online (now another one to monitor haha) so I find I sometimes hit the touch-pad when typing and that seems to often cause some or more of what I am writing to disappear.

I know I sound like a promoter but I don't own stock and I didn't create this program - but I just feel it is a very misunderstood and therefore underutilized program and it's like a lot of tools - they are only as good or bad as the person using them! Now if I could convince all the malware and virus programs to leave it alone or just give me a second to tell the anti-virus or whatever that I want it because you can't enter the file names you want left alone if your malware program deletes the file the second you turn it back on after you download and/or install the files - what a struggle with some programs especially Windows Defender! Was that too convoluted to follow?

Glad I have it back now though - even though it did take me hours last night to actually re-download repeatedly and install and run it! Hope I have everything set now because I have so missed this - one of my most favourite programs - right up there with Microsoft Starter 2010! which I also had to fight with to be able to get and use it on this newer computer - but you know how it is when you just love your old programs!! BTW - this keylogger is the only one I have ever used - so maybe they are all similar - but let me tell u - I am somewhat limited in my computer skills and even more limited when I started using this program many years ago - but it is just the lightest little simple intuitive program so I would highly recommend it as the best one to start with - oh and I have always just used the free 'trial' version - but have never lost it after the 30 days or whatever - I just have to click away the registration box and use it as always - am assuming that has not changed - really would be sad to have to keep downloading it every month - not because it is hard to download - but because of how hard it is to make my Windows Defender leave it alone! Oh - one last thing - if anyone does download this program - I would say make sure you get it from the spy arsenal site or some other download site you trust - but get ready for your anti programs - maybe you are more skilled than I in that area though so maybe not a problem for everyone else - I hope! haha

Oh - oh - I forgot - apparently each anti program names this file something different - like Defender called it Win32/Fuery.B!cl and is listed as a severe Trojan. Other Antis call it other things I guess so you may have to be a bit clever to locate it in your quarantined list.

Now I do have one other issue to battle - an adware issue - funny how I can't get Defender or Windows Smartscreen (which I never knew I had until I tried to install FKL) or Adblock or Adaware to stop some stupid popup pages, yet I had to fight for hours to keep what I actually wanted - but that's a saga for another day! haha Thanks for taking the time to read all this. Hope it makes a difference for someone. :) Linda

Oh Darn! I forgot - for those wanting to get rid of this program - if you right click on the little black and white square icon - it might be down on the lower right of your taskbar where your battery and volume are - if not the default way to unlock and make the icon appear there is to press ctrl+alt+shift+F (F for Family).

So yeah, right click on that icon and there will appear a menu - click 'options' and you will see a box of options including 'Uninstall Keylogger'. Click it and poof - the usual ending and a 'bye-bye' page. Now what malicious program gives you an uninstall - and a bye-bye page? :)

It can be hard to find the files as well as the uninstall file because some of the default action deletes some of the files and you can also opt to delete even more - u know - so if monitoring your kids (or some people checking on cheating partners *blush*), then they figure you may want to hide the fact that you are reading their stuff. Though if using it as I now do to save most of what I write including passwords I keep forgetting - then you won't opt to try to hide any more files than they already do for you. Beware though that if others using your computer know about the program, they would be able to read what you wrote and your passwords too - so maybe a good idea to hide it anyway.....or what I do is since they just use a notepad page to keep the log - I just like hit the enter key over and over until a good amount of the page appeared empty at the top - so the writing doesn't actually start until you scroll way down - that way if someone comes upon it- it will appear as an empty page - know what I mean? Just for privacy - cuz u never know who may get online when you're not around.

Oh - there is one place I have been able to find the file - in the task manager under processes - and you can go to the file location from there. Though maybe it is visible there for me because I didn't opt to hide most files - so hopefully the ctrl+alt+shift+F shortcut will bring it up for you - though if someone paid for the full version or they are very savvy - they can change the shortcut. I think a person may be able to set it up to access the log remotely - not sure on that - but I know some keyloggers can do that - so if you didn't download this program yourself - you should know how maliciously it could be used.

Anyhow - hope that helps someone. Hey shoot me a message if you have any questions about it. Linda
