Under Windows XP Pro, nplus.exe appears to be the engine for the virus elemhide which created 2 pairs of Internet Explorer (via Firefox) icons, called "Get Random Viral" & "Google Search." Icons pointed to http \\ sh.st \ Yve6E and \ Yv6hA. Virus has also locked out Task Manager via Administrator, infected IOBIT Malware & Uninstaller, McAfee, & Norton, and infected bootstrap segment such that unable to enter Safe Mode. I have detached the infected PC from the network, plan to boot to cd, then use System Mechanic's Incinerate to clean out the remainder. Will format & reload disk. I do not keep user files on C, so only OS & Apps reloads needed.
