I used AVG to clean the computer, to which screwed my programs and cleaned the reg manually and after all that was done, as stated my programs were screwed and would not start. So I picked a date that I new my computer was clean and did a system restore. After that was done my programs worked and AvG killed another that had only a web address assigned to it. wasn't able to get the address cause AVG killed and trashed it on a high level security alert. ESET Smart Security was disabled by the infector and was worthless. I installed AVG full and was able to save the info and programs. I encountered this following a link to which I was to download pdf in on motor scooters in Europe. The damned trojan slows the computer to a crawl, trys to diable windows defender in vista, will kill eset smart security 4, explorer fails and needs to restart. Java, quick time all fails and when game is about over the damned trojan puts a notice in the task bar telling you that your infected and for certain amount of money you can down a anti virus program to clean your computer. Run check disk afterwards, because you'll find disk space the the infector has set aside for him or her to deposit files on your computer. People who create malware and other virus, are people who in real life suck and they only feel important with their buttheads friends bragging how they are better. well they just so the rest of us they are low lifes and they could put their skills to work for the good and earn an honest living. but they enjoy being asso's.
