Paltalk is a mainstream voice chat program I've used over 10 years with zero security problems until recently. I'm not going back unless I find a way to block malware coming through banner ads in the free accounts (black names). There's no doubt about the security hole. PC guru rooms on the program are hearing from many people with the same problem. The appearance is paltalk is tolerating the security problem to induce users to buy a $50 paid account which doesn't get the advertising, therefore no security problem.

I think there are complex business reasons why this is happening, employees facinig layoffs, run amok, trying to keep their paychecks coming in a bad economy for as long as possible. Paltalk can be addicting and is used by elderly, disabeled and shutins who may have no other social outlet.

Before I signed off for the last time I heard there have been frequent logon problems causes by denial of service attacks. This was unknown in the past. I'd bet those are by furious users who got stung by the security hole and are sophisticated enough to fire back.
