I has nvdrv.exe but hasn't any NVidia product - my GPUs and chipset from AMD. It not a virus but some glitchy utility, consumes CPU power and do nothing. After I kill that nothing changes beside CPU load fall down to 1-2% in idle, as always.

I'm w/Win 10 now, 8 was a nightmare but it came with my new laptop. Firefox won't even run now on it, so Chrome is what i'm using. CPU usage has been at 100% for weeks now. Having just removed nvdrv.exe it appears CPU usage has dropped considerably. It is steady now @ 66% at idle, so i will see if i can find any more cpu hogs. Netflix seems to wake up every software on this PC. It is a Dell, not long out of warranty; so it may be approaching it's lifetime/Deathknoll.
