Hi there. Found another adware called FauxResults right now while reviewing some of the latest submissions to the FreeFixer database. It’s another BrowseFox variant.

So, what does VirusTotal say about the FauxResultsBHO.dll file? 61% of the anti-malware scanners detected the file which is pretty good. F-Secure classifies FauxResults as Adware.SwiftBrowse.CX, Ikarus reports PUA.BrowseFox and VIPRE detects it as Yontoo.

So, how about the FauxResults removal? Since I have not tested it myself, I cannot say exactly what files you need to check for removal in FreeFixer, but look for files that are digitally signed by “FauxResults” and the removal will be easy. Select them in the scan result and click the Fix button. You might have to restart your computer to complete the removal.
